Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Systems
This robot vacuum-mop makes an ideal choice for those who live in apartments as it has a smaller docking system and carries its own rubbish bin. Its application lets you set various modes and monitor the cleaning. The mopping function is also impressive.
Its obstacle avoidance and mapping are impressive, as is the fact that it mops very well cleaning up pet hair, spillages and dirt. It also self-empties, cleans itself, and refills its tank.
Roomba iRobot Combination
The iRobot Combo includes mopping in addition to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. It's not quite able to compete with our current Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which offers more cleaning power and an easier-to-use mobile app however it makes an excellent choice. It was able to consistently remove dirt from carpets and hard floors. Its obstacle avoidance system isn't the most sophisticated in the world, and isn't equipped with structured light and other technologies like LiDAR, but it managed to prevent most collisions with furniture and clutter.
The Combo includes the majority of the same features as the j7 Plus and comes with the latest onboard acoustic sensors that identify the type of floor and AI-powered navigation. However, it does not have the ability to adjust suction power manually. It's also slightly less compact than the version that uses vacuum and doesn't have a an auto-emptying dock.
The Combo is one of my favorite options for homes with a lot of space. Its elegant design is also among the best I've seen. The matte black finish is more elegant than the metallic or glossy finishes of the majority of competitors. iRobot also adds some classier touches, such as the leather tab that opens the onboard bin and a shelf that can hold bags in the dock. The iRobot Combo makes it easy to create maps and establish Keep-Out Zones.
Roborock
While Roborock is comparatively new to the robot vacuum and mop market, it's already made a name for itself thanks to a suite of innovative cleaning technologies. The brand's vacuums have industry-leading suction, while its mopping systems use vibrating mops that scrub floors of dust. Additionally, a variety of mapping and scheduling options let you fine-tune the bot's cleaning schedule for your specific home.
Another outstanding Roborock feature is the obstacle avoidance that allows the robot to see objects smaller than its height. This is especially helpful for the most well-known Roborock models, like the Qrevo Master, which is the best in its class in terms of navigation because of vSLAM and LiDAR. Other robovacs are known to run over pet waste and slam furniture, without even noticing. The Qrevo Master however, addresses this issue with a Reactive Artificial Intelligence system that uses dual cameras to detect objects within the room.
Roborock robots come with a range of convenience features to reduce maintenance. They include docks that are automatically empty and mop-washing stations that have multiple functions. These features make it unnecessary to empty bins and wash mops by hand, allowing the user to have a hands-free ownership experience. Plus, the app's simple design and seamless connection to the robot makes it simple to use.
Hobot Legee D8
With a variety of cleaning options and advanced mopping features, the Hobot Legee is among the best robot vacuums/mops for wet and dry floors. Its advanced navigation system combines five technologies to plan and take the most efficient route. It can also identify different flooring materials and identify obstacles with precision. It can lift its body up to 7mm in order to glide over carpets. The smart spray system makes use of the right amount of water to remove stains without leaving unsightly water marks.
The Legee is a Gen 4 robot that competes directly with the Eufy Robovac X9 and Ecovacs Deebot T20, both of which cost more. It has more features than either of them, including the more flexible D-shaped body that cleans the corners and under cabinets better than a round robot. Its sensors include 360deg (3D) (Lidar Encoder Gyro and E-compass) four forward-facing sensors, one right-side-facing (IR ToF distance sensors) and 2 pairs of cliff detectors front and rear (most robots only have one pair). It also includes Legee SLAM to reduce the bump-and-grind problems that plague Gen 4 robots.
The Legee is distinct from other robots due to the fact that it includes a trash compactor and utilizes the quieter 5 GHz band of Wi-Fi. The LuLu mop wash station is included and is able to wash, refill and dries your mop 'cloth. This means that you can use it for up to six times longer than with other mop cloths. It also reduces waste and frequency of bin emptying.
Karcher RCV 5
Known for its pressure washers and garden tools, Karcher has been dabbling in robot vacuums for a time and this is the brand's most advanced model. Powered by LiDAR, it creates maps of your house and can be programmed to vacuum or mop. It also differentiates between hard floors and carpets, so you don't get puddles on your precious pile.
Its navigation is flawless that can avoid carpets or furniture with ease. It can even raise itself over steps. The machine can be customised by adjusting a range of settings that include cleaning schedules and rooms it is required to be cleaning. It also comes with an emergency button that can force the robot to return to its base if it runs out of power and it can also be programmed to automatically shut itself off if a storm is approaching.
The RCV 5 is very easy to use, and despite being quite heavy, at around 4kg, you shouldn't have any trouble maneuvering it around furniture. Parents of small children will appreciate the safety features, such as a sensor that warns it to avoid stairs. Once charged, the device takes only a few hours to recharge and the two buttons on the top will turn green to let you that it is ready for use.
Mova E30 Ultra
The Mova E30 Ultra is a
robot vacuum cleaner that blends advanced cleaning technology with affordability. It's a rival to models like the Dreame L10 Ultra or Roborock's most popular Q Revo. Despite its lower price tag, the Mova E30 Ultra offers features that many more expensive models cannot match. It utilizes sensors to adjust its settings for different floors and surfaces, as well as detect dirtier areas and ensure that they are given enough attention. It also moves at a a slower pace to prevent damage to furniture and walls.
The device can map the interior of your home and display it in the app. You can also mark areas and objects you'd like the vacuum to stay clear from. The vacuum will slow down when it detects an obstruction, and avoid getting into it. The device is also equipped with an intelligent dustbin, which will alert you of its fullness to ensure that you empty the bin in time.
The Mova E30 Ultra is an affordable option for anyone looking to delegate the chores of daily cleaning. It doubles as a robot vacuum and mop which allows you to keep your floors spotless without having to lift a finger. It is designed with a clever layout which improves the cleaning of corners by as much as 60%. It has suction power of up to 7,000 Pa and RoboSwing arm, and is controlled by the app or voice assistants like Alexa or Siri.
Beko RCV3
The Beko RCV3 is a stylish and well-equipped hybrid robot vacuum/mop that does an excellent job of keeping floors spick and span. It can't lift its mops to clean carpets and rug as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV ultra, but it's very effective at cleaning hard floors. It also has a self-emptying bin, delivers a good level of suction power, provides several mopping options, and is operated by a high-end app that is compatible with both iOS and Android.
It's a bit smaller than the other models and its main brush is shorter however, it did a quick job in our test room. The brush that rotates on the side that is used for edges is a nice touch and, despite the fact that it didn't remove dirt from our rugs and carpets like some of the competitors but it did a decent job overall.
The robot can be programmed with specific cleaning parameters for each room. It will then create detailed maps using LiDAR's built-in navigation. The app is easy to use and comes with various voice output options that will keep you informed about the condition of your robot. Regular updates to the software can improve and enhance its performance. The app can be used to remotely control the RCV3 even when you're not at home.
